Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking Senior Systems Engineers for its Military Avionics Flight Management group. You will design, implement, and test flight management software for military helicopters and aircraft, applying systems engineering rigor in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

The role requires 4+ years in systems and software with C/C++, DOORS, ADA, or Python, and a willingness to travel <10% domestically/internationally. Onsite work with relocation possible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• 4+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.
• 4+ years of experience in a Systems role.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems that are integrated into military helicopters and planes.
• Master your knowledge of Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems.
• Integrate soft skills (leadership, communication, coordination, proactiveness) into a dynamic environment that provides quality and timely products to internal and external customers.
