Job summary

Belk is seeking a Support Flex Associate in Birmingham to drive sales and deliver a positive customer experience by processing inbound truck deliveries and preparing new merchandise for the floor.

The role supports outbound merchandise activities, facilities maintenance, and back-of-house organization, while collaborating with merchandising to place and sign products on the sales floor. It is an hourly position.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service environments preferred.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and contribute to store success.
• Comfort with technology and learning new tools.

Responsibilities

• Unload shipments and sort by department to ensure product readiness.
• Process product transfers, damage handling, and RFID tasks for inventory accuracy.
• Support facilities and store maintenance activities as needed.
• Assist with merchandising, floor sets, pricing changes, and order picking/packing.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and restock supplies as required.
• Provide excellent customer service and help customers during peak hours.
