Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking an Intern Electrical Engineer for the Sea Systems group in Hunt Valley, MD. You will work on unmanned surface vehicle programs, contributing to autonomous control, payload integration, and vision systems.

You will design, simulate, construct, and field-test subsystems, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver disruptive technologies supporting national security. Ideal candidate is pursuing EE degree, eager to learn, with strong communication skills and

Qualifications

Pursuing bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electro-mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective presentation skills.
Eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed design of integrated electrical and communications systems on vehicles.
Perform analysis, integration, and testing.
Contribute to concept development as part of internal cross-functional design teams, including prototyping and production support.
Prepare high-quality formal engineering documentation such as drawings, presentations, specifications, and design presentations to customers.
Prepare and/or manage design change documentation via Engineering Change Notices/Engineering Change Proposals.
