Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking new graduates for a 2027 Software Engineering Intern (Sea Systems) in Hunt Valley, MD. You’ll design, simulate, build, and field-test autonomous surface vehicle subsystems as part of disruptive autonomy tech development.

We offer a paid, full-time 10-week summer internship with mentorship, training, and hands-on projects that help you grow toward a career in defense tech. On-site roles with a prepaid stipend are provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS or related field.
• Experience with C/C++, C#, Python, and/or Java.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Providing engineering support on next generation technologies and proven platforms.
• Participating in software development across design lifecycle from concept to lab integration.
• Opportunities range from embedded control systems to operator interfaces and mobile apps.
