Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD is seeking an Electrical Engineer II/III to design, analyze, and validate electrical subsystems for unmanned surface vehicles. You will contribute to autonomous control, payload integration, vision systems, and field testing across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include detailed design of electrical and communications systems for vehicles, testing, documentation, and support through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electro-mechanical engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including preparation of design documentation.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio).
• Design and integration experience in vehicle systems, power distribution, safety systems, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of integrated electrical and communications systems on vehicles.
• Perform analysis, integration, and testing.
• Contribute to concept development with cross-functional teams; prototyping and production support.
• Prepare high-quality formal engineering documentation to customers.
• Produce technical white papers and brief management/customers on planning and progress.
• Manage design change documentation via Engineering Change Notices/Proposals.
