Job summary

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh seeks a Library Services Associate to join the Sub Pool, based at CLP-Sheraden in Pittsburgh. The role supports staffing absences across CLP neighborhood locations and travels to multiple libraries, maintaining a 20-25 hours per week schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, providing information and learning services, supporting printing and computer reservations, and helping with circulation and shelving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of experience in a public service role.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with diverse age groups in an urban setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with information, digital, reader’s, and learning services across library programs.
• Provide service assistance in person, by phone, and electronically in a high-energy public setting.
• Support printing, scanning, faxing, copying and online computer reservations.
• Engage with patrons and build relationships through public service and technology instruction.
• Collaborate with staff to meet branch needs and ensure smooth operations.
