Job summary

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh seeks a part-time Library Services Associate - Adult at the Mt. Washington location. You will deliver high-quality customer service, assist with reference and learning services, and promote library resources while supporting adult programs.

Responsibilities include assisting patrons, providing in-person and remote help, and helping with outreach and digital skills instruction to empower job seekers and lifelong learners.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working with diverse patrons in an urban setting is preferred.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office and internet use.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers of all ages with information, digital, reader’s, and learning services.
• Provide excellent service in person, by phone, and electronically in a high-energy public service role.
• Collaborate with staff to provide service across neighborhood libraries and departments.
• Facilitate and publicize programs and community outreach.
• Help adults build digital skills through one-on-one instruction and workshops.
