Job summary

Burlington Stores is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. The role involves monitoring entrances/exits, recognizing theft trends, and coordinating with leadership to report incidents.

You will greet customers warmly and uphold company standards of safety and professionalism. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, communicate effectively, and participate in shortage reduction training.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits and high‑risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet customers and associates with a confident, friendly, and energetic manner.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Provide support and guidance to training on shortage reduction programs.
