Beacon Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant/Clerical Associate to support physicians and nurses in patient care, perform clerical tasks, admit and discharge patients, and handle data entry. The role entails coordinating with diverse teams across Beacon facilities to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent, and the ability to travel between Beacon Health

Formación

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum age 17 years.
• Preference given to candidates with related medical office experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license as position may require travel between Beacon facilities.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional manner and provide assistance.
• Answer telephone calls, take and relay messages accurately.
• Obtain information from patients to accurately complete the patient record.
• Maintain patient files, charts, and department records.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens as ordered.
• Administer and record medications and injections as ordered.
• Assist physician and/or nurse with clinical procedures and examinations.
• Cross-train within the department and travel to multiple Beacon Health facilities as required.
