Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with patient care, phlebotomy, and lab duties in a fast-paced clinic setting. You will handle patient intake, triage calls, front-desk tasks, and basic pharmacy coordination to ensure smooth clinic operations.

The role requires completion of an MA program or CMA/MA credential, with phlebotomy experience and patient-focused communication. Spanish language ability is a plus, and CPR/BCLS certification is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CMA or MA credential preferred.
• Successful completion of an approved Medical Assistant Program or equivalent with certification.
• Spanish language ability is desirable.
• Phlebotomy experience is highly valued.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record medical history and prepare patient for examination.
• Assist provider and/or nurse with minor emergencies or procedures.
• Perform EKGs as ordered and conduct phlebotomy and lab services.
• Administer and document medications and injections as ordered.
• Dispense and fill prescriptions per pharmacy protocol.
• Manage patient information and educate patients on instructions.
• Schedule office or hospital procedures and triage calls for care.
• Maintain stock in exam rooms and laboratory and clean equipment.
