Beacon Health System in Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care and clerical duties in a busy office. Under supervision, you will greet patients, obtain information, prepare exam rooms, and assist with routine procedures.

Responsibilities include recording medical history, taking vital signs, performing EKG tests, handling scheduling, data entry into the EMR, and ensuring supplies are stocked. Spanish language skills are a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 17 years old.
• CMA or MA program + certification required.
• Previous medical office experience.
• Spanish speaking ability preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and greet patients professionally and collect information for the record.
• Assist physician and nurse with routine procedures.
• Record medical history and prepare patients for examination.
• Perform routine lab and EKG tests and collect specimens as ordered.
• Enter patient data into the EMR and coordinate scheduling.
• Maintain supplies and clean/sterilize instruments and exam rooms.
• Triage patient calls and direct care as needed.
• Assist with medication administration under supervision.
