Job summary

Beacon Health Options is seeking a full-time Medical Office Assistant to support clinical and clerical operations. You will greet patients, handle calls, and complete patient records while assisting physicians with exams and procedures.

You will also perform routine lab and EKG tests, collect specimens, and administer medications as ordered, under supervision and established policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors professionally and provide assistance.
• Answer telephone calls and relay messages accurately.
• Obtain information to complete patient records for payments and input.
• Record medical history and prepare patient for examinations.
• Assist physician or nurse with minor emergencies and procedures.
• Perform routine lab and EKG tests and collect specimens.
• Administer and record medications and injections as ordered.
