Job summary

Shaner Hotels is seeking a friendly front desk guest services agent for Fairfield Inn & Suites State College. You will warmly welcome guests, process check-ins and check-outs, and provide information about local attractions. This role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of customer service, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
• Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
• Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Provide superior guest services including check-in/check-out courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements.
