Job summary

Shaner Hotels, State College TownePlace Suites by Marriott, is seeking a friendly front desk associate to welcome guests, process check-ins/outs, and maintain accurate records in a busy hospitality environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle guest inquiries and payments while adhering to hotel policies. Weekend/holiday shifts may be required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior guest services including check‑in/check‑out hotel guests courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements; Provide information and services to any guest or visitor in a friendly, professional manner.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Process all check‑ins and check‑outs according to established hotel requirements.
• Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
• Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.
