Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD is hiring a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support nursing staff under supervision of an RN.

The role requires CNA certification or active enrollment, with preference for prior long-term care experience. A flexible schedule includes days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or in process of obtaining certification.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Record vital signs and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with transfer, mobility, grooming, bathing, and dining to support comfort and safety.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Participate in infection control policies and use PPE as required.
