Job summary

Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care in our long-term care setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor and document vital signs, and support the nursing team under RN supervision.

The schedule is FLEX with days, evenings, nights and weekends, plus a $5 premium for flexible hours and a $1.25 weekend/evening/night differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification must be obtained within four months of start or in process of endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Document resident interactions and monitor outcomes.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility.
• Assist with meals and dining, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Assist with wellness and recreational activities and participate in committees as needed.
