Job summary

Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care under RN supervision, including daily living activities, vital signs, and basic health support.

You will help with bathing, meals, transfers, and documentation while following infection prevention policies. Certification and driving eligibility may apply depending on state requirements; a sign-on bonus of $10,000 is available for eligible full-time hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or CNA in progress within four months.
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• Annual competency testing with 12 hours CE required.
• In states where applicable, may be listed as Sanford Category II Driver and must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and meals.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and range of motion; support wellness activities.
• Document resident interactions and maintain infection prevention policies.
