Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a FLEX position in long-term care. The role requires providing resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision and assisting with daily living activities, including meals and hygiene.

Schedule varies with day/evening/night/weekend shifts, with a FLEX premium and weekend/evening/night differentials. Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus; 36 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board required or in process within four months via training program.
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours continuing education required each year.
• If applicable, compliant with UAP Registry and Sanford Driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care.
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes.
• Communicate changes in condition to the charge nurse.
