Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a licensed Audiologist for Compensation & Pension evaluations focused on Veterans. This non-treatment, contractor role centers on evaluation, testing, and documentation with flexible scheduling and the option for in-person work.

You will conduct VA-guideline audiology evaluations, review records, complete documentation, and deliver objective findings while maintaining professional boundaries and compliance.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license.
• Access to calibrated audiometer for VA evaluations.
• Access to diagnostic tympanometer for tympanometry and reflex testing.
• Master's degree or higher in relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Comfortable performing objective, fact-based evaluations.
• Comfortable Maryland CNC speech testing.
• Possession of equipment such as SHOEBOX, Interacoustics Titan/AT235, GSI TympStar Pro, Kuduwave.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing loss and tinnitus-related evaluations based on VA guidelines.
• Review relevant medical records and examination information.
• Obtain relevant history through focused, objective interviews.
• Perform required audiometric testing and related clinical documentation as required.
• Prepare clear, concise, and timely reports in VA-required formats.
• Provide objective, fact-based findings without influencing the outcome of a Veteran's claim.
• Submit completed examination documentation within required timeframes.
• Maintain clear boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Follow all applicable ethical, legal, professional, and confidentiality requirements.
