Job summary

Cosmo 1:1, the premier online learning platform, connects K-12 students in North America with university tutors for personalized lessons. As a tutor, you set a flexible weekly schedule and conduct 50-minute 1:1 sessions using the Cosmo curriculum.

This independent contractor role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience teaching K-12 ELA/ESL/EFL, plus reliable internet and a suitable PC. Availability is needed between 3-10 PM EST, Monday through Friday, or weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Fast and reliable internet connection.
• Access to a Windows or Mac PC with a reasonable spec.
• Comfortable teaching 1:1 online sessions.
• Available between 3-10 PM EST Mon–Fri or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff
