Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp) seeks experienced K-12 educators to tutor North American students in an online after-school setting. You will conduct 50‑minute 1-on-1 lessons using the Cosmo curriculum with a flexible schedule you set.

This independent contractor role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years of teaching ELA/ESL/EFL, reliable internet, and a commitment of at least 6 months. Availability 3–10 PM EST Monday–Friday or weekends, with at least 20 hours weekly, is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards.
• Reliable internet, Windows or Mac PC with minimum CPU 6000.
• Commitment to a minimum of 6 months.
• Available 3-10 PM EST Mon–Fri or weekends.
• Minimum 20 hours availability weekly.
• Private, quiet location.
• Currently located in the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
