U.S. Xpress in Springfield, OH is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers. You’ll work in the evenings and be part of a team that values safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED; a Diesel Technology Program is preferred. DOT/Brake certifications are required to perform PMs and brake work. Benefits and growth opportunities are available.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical Diploma from a Diesel Technology Program preferred.
• 1 year of mechanical experience preferred; experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
• DOT and Brake certification required to perform PMs and brake work.

Responsabilidades

• Performs basic preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers as outlined in USX PM guidelines.
• Perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring etc.
• Check vehicle fluids and replace or top up as needed.
• Change vehicle tires and grease mechanical parts.
• Maintain high productivity and complete most jobs within or near SRT times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
