Job summary

U.S. Xpress, Inc. seeks a diesel technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers in the Shippensburg area.

You will work at the SHIPPENSBURG USX TERMINAL with shifts from Sunday through Wednesday, 6am-4:30pm, and non-remote opportunity. Minimum one year of mechanical experience preferred; a diesel tech diploma may substitute. Must have own tools, a valid driver's license, and DOT/brake certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical Diploma from an accredited Diesel Technology Program preferred.
• DOT and Brake certification required to perform PM’s and brake work.
• OEM Online certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers.
• Carry out basic repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring, and fluids.
• Change tires and grease mechanical parts.
• Maintain high productivity and complete jobs within standard time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
