U.S. Xpress, Inc. in Shippensburg, PA is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors, including brakes, tires and fluids, following PM guidelines.

Minimum 1 year of mechanical experience is preferred; a Diesel Technology Diploma is a plus. You must provide your own tools and have a valid driver's license. Competitive pay and benefits available.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical Diploma from an accredited Diesel Technology Program preferred.
• DOT and Brake certification required to perform PMs and brake work.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on tractors outlined in USX PM guidelines.
• Perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring etc.
• Check vehicle fluids (transmission, oil, windshield wiper, antifreeze).
• Change vehicle tires.
• Grease mechanical parts.
• Maintain high productivity level and complete most jobs within or close to SRT times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
