Job summary

U.S. Xpress, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Maintenance Technician at the Duncan terminal to perform basic maintenance on tractors and ensure reliable fleet operation.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a Diesel Technology Diploma preferred, and at least 1 year of mechanical experience. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, be able to read and write, provide their own tools, and hold DOT and Brake certifications to perform PMs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Diesel tech diploma preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of mechanical experience; related certifications helpful.
• DOT and Brake certifications required to perform PMs.
• Valid driver's license; ability to read and write.
• Experience in transportation and basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventative maintenance on tractors.
• Inspect brakes, tires, wiring and fluids; perform minor repairs.
• Change tires and grease mechanical parts.
• Maintain productivity and complete most jobs within PM guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
