Job summary

Ryder is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support the Operations Manager across shifts. The role focuses on workflow and labor management, customer communication, asset upkeep, quality assurance, and cost control in a maintenance shop environment.

Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience, shop maintenance expertise, and proficiency with Shop Management Systems and Microsoft Office. This is a salaried role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred or 1–3+ years in maintenance operations; Ryder substitutions allowed.
• Maintenance/Technical shop experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with Shop Management System; Microsoft Office intermediate.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: analyze, plan, schedule, assign work to technicians and track productivity.
• Labor management: train and develop personnel; manage performance.
• Customer management: maintain relationships and provide updates on vehicle status.
• Asset management: maintain shop areas, tooling, equipment, and inventory.
• Quality management: perform inspections, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Financial management: control costs, payroll, POs, invoicing, and reporting.
