Job summary

Hogan Transportation is seeking a Fleet Manager to lead and support drivers assigned to a customer account. You will serve as the liaison with the client, ensuring timely deliveries, high-quality service, and adherence to Hogan policies.

Responsibilities include coaching drivers, scheduling runs, monitoring performance, planning alternative routes during disruptions, and maintaining safe, compliant operations while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• 2-5 years experience in the transportation/trucking industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manages drivers’ activities and ensures performance meets client expectations.
• Identifies and addresses driver performance issues through coaching and discipline.
• Interviews prospective drivers and makes hiring recommendations.
• Conducts 30- and 60-day driver performance reviews.
• Coaches, trains, and reinforces drivers on customer service, safety, and policies.
• Coordinates services to maximize profits and schedules drivers per client requests.
• Monitors driver performance, prepares daily work and run schedules.
• Advises drivers on traffic, hazards, and contingency plans to meet client needs.
• Manages fleet for on-time delivery, hours of service, and cost control.
• Ensures a safe working environment and compliance with safety laws.
