Job summary

WM is offering a Fleet Operational Management Trainee (FOMT) program designed to develop individuals into Fleet Managers through a 12-month, on-the-job training program across field and office settings.

The role requires relocation within the U.S. and Canada, 10-14 months of travel during training, and exposure to safety and maintenance operations. Start date targeted March 2027; travel costs covered by WM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Preferred: 4 years of supervisory/leadership experience in operations management or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete the FOMT curriculum through required training in WM's Learning Management System.
• Develop skills to become a Fleet Manager.
• Complete computer-based training and mandatory group sessions.
• Acquire knowledge of WM's Fleet and business applications.
• Learn maintenance and operation of collection and support equipment.
