Job summary

WM is launching the Fleet Operational Management Trainee (FOMT) program, a yearlong training track designed to prepare candidates for fleet management roles. Participants will travel for field-based training across locations with on-site work, and relocation within an assigned area may be required.

The program emphasizes cost control, safety, and leadership development while exposing trainees to finance, forecasting, and operations at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (accredited) required.
• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.
• 4 years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with heavy equipment operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete the FOMT curriculum via WM Learning Management System.
• Develop the skills to become a Fleet Manager.
• Complete assigned computer-based training and mandatory group sessions.
• Develop knowledge of WM's Fleet and general business applications.
• Learn maintenance and operation of collection and support equipment.
