Job summary

Waste Management (WM) seeks candidates for its Fleet Operational Management Trainee (FOMT) program, a yearlong course to develop individuals into fleet managers. The role blends office and field assignments, with extensive on-the-job training and exposure to equipment maintenance and safety standards.

Successful trainees gain knowledge in fleet operations, cost control, and management development, with relocation within the U.S. and Canada as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) required.
• High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant work experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Complete the FOMT curriculum via WM Learning Management System.
• Develop skills to become a Fleet Manager.
• Attend mandatory training sessions and complete computer-based training.
• Learn WM's Fleet and general business applications and maintenance processes.
• Understand site personnel management and operations forecasting.
