Job summary

Covenant Logistics in Texas is seeking a Fleet Manager to serve as the operations link between drivers, customers, and the company. This role mentors a group of experienced drivers, coordinates fleet activities, and works to maximize asset utilization while ensuring on-time performance.

The position is an entry‑level management role with limited scope to a specific operation; you will track ETAs/PTAs, load assignments, and drive collaboration with internal teams to resolve issues and maintain

Qualifications

• Entry-level manager with 0–3 years in leadership roles.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Driver HOS.
• Experience or familiarity with truck fleet operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage Dedicated Fleet of Professional Drivers
• Communicate with customers to maximize utilization
• Track and trace trucks daily
• Track and manage home time requests in accordance with accounts expectations
• Monitor and trace loads to update customers on late pickups/deliveries
• Develop relationships with drivers and communicate performance expectations
• Assist drivers with payroll needs and fuel issues
• Update AS400 and/or TMW data accurately
