Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee a fast-paced multi-service operation with 50+ drivers, 49+ daily routes, and 60+ vehicles. You will supervise Transportation Coordinators and Trainers, hire and train staff, prepare monthly schedules, ensure compliance and safety, review billing, and collaborate with senior leadership.

On-site role based in Hudson, MA with strong leadership and operational analytics requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in operations management, business administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive work experience in a fast-paced environment with hourly staff and metrics.
• Proficient experience in the use of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as contact to the school districts we serve.
• Interview, hire, and train new transportation coordinators/supervisors.
• Prepare monthly work schedules.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels for drivers and monitors.
• Ensure all employees have proper certifications, training, and licensing.
• Oversee the maintenance function at your office and keep our vans in a high state of readiness.
• Review and prepare billing each month.
• Assist with any other tasks or projects as assigned by Senior Operations Manager or Vice President.
