Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager in Hudson, MA to oversee a busy fleet and a team of 50+ drivers, 60+ vehicles, and transportation coordinators. You will manage staffing, training, certifications, maintenance coordination, and monthly billing to support school districts and student mobility.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s or equivalent experience, 5+ years in fast-paced operations, and strong leadership with a focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in operations management, business administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive work experience in a fast-paced environment with hourly staff and metrics management.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills; ability to train and develop teams.
• Knowledge of DOT, SPED, safety compliance, and risk reduction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of a multi-service, fast-paced environment.
• Interview, hire, and train transportation coordinators/supervisors.
• Prepare monthly work schedules and maintain staffing levels.
• Ensure all employees have proper certifications, training, and licensing.
• Oversee maintenance of vehicles and ensure readiness of vans.
• Review and prepare billing monthly.
• Collaborate with Senior Operations Manager and VP on tasks and projects.
