Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Fleet to lead fleet maintenance, drive a safety-first culture, and manage a high-performing team of technicians. You will oversee safety, training, budgeting, and vendor relationships to keep a reliable, cost-effective fleet in operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of fleet equipment experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DOT, Hazmat, and OSHA regulations.
• Possession of valid state Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the fleet maintenance function and maintain a safe work environment.
• Lead to create a safety culture ensuring injury-free operations for associates, customers, and the public.
• Interview, hire, and train fleet technicians; schedule schooling and certification; evaluate performance.
• Ensure vehicles are in proper working condition and document certifications; collaborate on equipment changes.
• Manage purchasing, warranties, capital improvement requests, and parts inventory; develop yearly budget.
• Collaborate with drivers to enable proper operation of specialized equipment and obtain bids for repairs.
• Comply with OSHA, DOT, and Tax commission regulations.
• Produce weekly and yearly reports and daily OOS reports.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
