Job summary

Zipcar is seeking a Fleet Supervisor for our Philadelphia market to oversee on-site fleet upkeep, vendor management, and budgeting. You will lead staff, analyze metrics, and implement improvements to maintain vehicle condition and reduce downtime.

You will manage de/relocation of vehicles, branding, and access-system integration while ensuring cost-effective operations and strong vendor performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing staff, service contractors and other vendors.
• General knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• The ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
• Strong process orientation.
• Good financial and operational analytical skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep, maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of the area fleet.
• Negotiate and manage vendor service contracts to maintain high standards.
• Analyze and determine when damaged vehicles should be repaired.
• Manage in-fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles, including branding and access system installation.
• Work within a budget while maintaining fleet condition and minimizing downtime.
• Manage vendor performance to maximize vehicle condition, uptime and minimize costs.
• Analyze historical trends and current metrics to identify actionable insights.
• Oversee budgets and identify opportunities to reduce costs.
• Prepare Zipcar’s annual operating plan with business units.
• Produce reports and visual representations of data for senior management.
