Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Philadelphia is seeking a Fleet Supervisor to lead the on-site fleet operations at our Zipcar/airport location. You will supervise staff, manage maintenance and repairs, and work with vendors to uphold high vehicle condition while controlling costs.

The role requires strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills, plus comfort with budgeting and data reporting for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee upkeep, maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of the area fleet.
• Negotiate and manage vendor service contracts to ensure vehicle standards.
• Analyze when damaged vehicles should be repaired to maintain condition.
• Manage in-fleeting and de-fleeting processes and branding prep.
• Work within a budget to maintain fleet condition and minimize downtime.
• Supervise Fleet Staff and vendors.
• Monitor vendor performance across hundreds of weekly tasks to minimize costs.
• Analyze historical trends and current metrics for actionable insights.
• Oversee budgets and deliver operations within financial targets.
• Support performance improvement decisions with Business Units.
• Contribute to annual operating plan and produce data reports for senior management.

What You’ll Do:

• Upkeep/Maintenance/Repair of Vehicles
• Work within new and established Zipcar processes to manage the upkeep, maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of the area fleet.
• Negotiate and manage vendor service contracts to ensure vehicles are properly maintained, repaired, and cleaned to Zipcar’s high standard.
• Analyze and determine when damaged vehicles should be repaired, to maintain car condition and resale value.
• Manage the process of in-fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles, including Zipcar branding preparation and installation of Zipcar’s proprietary access system.
• Work within a budget while maintaining excellent fleet condition and minimizing vehicle downtime.
• Supervision of Fleet Staff and vendors
• Manage vendor performance on hundreds of weekly tasks to maximize vehicle condition and uptime and minimize costs.
• Analyze historical trends and current operating metrics to identify actionable insights.
• Oversee budgets, delivering operational activities within financial targets and identifying opportunities to reduce costs.
• Work with Business Units to support performance improvement decisions.
• Contribute to the preparation of Zipcar’s annual operating plan.
• Produce reports and visual representations of data for senior management.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $63,000 to $65,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
