Job summary

Avis Budget Group’s Philadelphia market is seeking a Fleet Supervisor to lead upkeep, maintenance, and vendor management for Zipcar's airport fleet on-site.

You'll analyze performance metrics, manage budgets, and prepare reports for senior management while ensuring safety and cost efficiency in a fast-paced rental operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee upkeep, maintenance, and repair of the fleet.
• Negotiate and manage vendor service contracts to maintain vehicle condition.
• Analyze when vehicles should be repaired to preserve resale value.
• Manage in-fleeting/de-fleeting processes and Zipcar access system installations.
• Operate within a budget to keep fleet in excellent condition and minimize downtime.
• Supervise fleet staff and vendors to maximize uptime and control costs.
• Analyze trends and metrics to identify actionable insights.
• Assist in annual operating plan and report data to senior management.

As a Fleet Supervisor in our Philadelphia market, you'll work on-site and be hands on out of our Supply Chain airport location and travel locally.

What You'll Do:

Upkeep/Maintenance/Repair of Vehicles

• Work within new and established Zipcar processes to manage the upkeep, maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of the area fleet.
• Negotiate and manage vendor service contracts to ensure vehicles are properly maintained, repaired, and cleaned to Zipcar's high standard.
• Analyze and determine when damaged vehicles should be repaired, to maintain car condition and resale value.
• Manage the process of in‑fleeting and de‑fleeting vehicles, including Zipcar branding preparation and installation of Zipcar's proprietary access system.
• Work within a budget while maintaining excellent fleet condition and minimizing vehicle downtime.

Supervision of Fleet Staff and vendors

• Manage vendor performance on hundreds of weekly tasks to maximize vehicle condition and uptime and minimize costs.
• Analyze historical trends and current operating metrics to identify actionable insights.
• Oversee budgets, delivering operational activities within financial targets and identifying opportunities to reduce costs.
• Work with Business Units to support performance improvement decisions.
• Contribute to the preparation of Zipcar's annual operating plan.
• Produce reports and visual representations of data for senior management.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $63,000 to $65,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
