Job summary

Harris County is seeking a Fleet Service Coordinator II to act as the operational liaison between service management and shop floor leadership. You will coordinate vehicle service appointments, document repair requests, and ensure timely repairs while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

In this high-volume environment, you will review workflow priorities with the Team Lead, prepare cost estimates, and escalate bottlenecks to leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of customer service experience with a positive and flexible attitude.
• 5 years of automotive repair experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and fleet management software.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vehicle service appointments and maintenance timelines.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for County departments regarding vehicle service needs.
• Accurately document customer concerns and repair requests using fleet management software.
• Prepare and review repair estimates; communicate expected costs to obtain approval from County Departments.
• Track vehicle repairs and proactively communicate progress, delays, and completion timelines.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professional communication and follow-through.
• Answer incoming calls and provide accurate vehicle status updates.
• Meet routinely with the Team Lead to review workflow and priorities.
• Coordinate repair assignments in alignment with Team Lead capacity.
• Ensure technicians have approved estimates and required documentation.
• Escalate issues to Service Manager or senior leadership as needed.
• Support monitoring of repair cycle times and workflow efficiency.
• Assist in quality assurance and inspections to ensure work meets Fleet standards.
