Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension and drive train. This role provides on-site and on-road service with opportunities for career growth.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of technician experience or be graduating from an accredited automotive program within the next 3 months.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues across gasoline and diesel-powered equipment.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• 3-5 years of technician experience or recent automotive college/technical school graduation within 3 months.
• ASE certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and proficiency in chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and air/brake systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance and repair on heavy-duty trucks on-site and when needed on the road.
• Perform line welding and fabrication.
• Safely provides road service to return equipment to operation.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools; follow company training programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
