Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair diesel and gasoline equipment across our fleet. Under supervision, you will tackle chassis, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulics, brakes, HVAC, and more.

You will gain exposure to advanced technology, receive training on new equipment, and contribute to community and environmental goals. A CDL is optional but helpful; 3–5 years of related experience or a graduating technical program is expected.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
• Understand work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on Class 1–8 trucks, aircraft, or ships; diesel and gasoline knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components and refuse bodies including hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Service air braking and hydraulic systems; perform light engine repair.
• Inspect and repair suspension, drivetrain, steering, and HVAC components.
• Welding and fabrication as needed; provide road service when required.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools; complete company training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
