Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, and control systems. You will work on on-site and during road calls, with a focus on staying current with new technologies and ensuring safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and apply repair knowledge across trucks and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles both on-site and on the road.
• Basic tire work including rotation and depth checks.
• Read and follow work orders with limited supervision.
• Communicate effectively with team members and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and proficiency in chassis components and systems.
• Repair and maintenance of refuse bodies, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and HVAC.
• Light engine repair, suspension, drivetrain and steering service.
• On-site and road service to keep company equipment operational.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete required training.
