Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, and control systems. You will work on engines, HVAC, suspension, and drive-train components, with on-site and on-road support to keep fleets moving.

Responsibilities include basic tire work, preventative maintenance, and safely troubleshooting using electronic tools, while pursuing ongoing training and certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair multi-system vehicle components and systems on-site and on-road.
• Understand light/heavy-duty truck maintenance and related safety protocols.
• Able to complete required company training programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components, refuse bodies, and braking systems.
• Perform light engine work, suspension, and HVAC maintenance.
• Provide road service as needed to return equipment to operation.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and reports.

Skills

Diagnose multi-system issues

Work order time standards

3-5 years technician experience

ASE Certifications (T1-T8)

Valid Driver’s License

CDL is a plus

Education

Accredited automotive college/technical school
