Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain our diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, brake systems, engines, HVAC, and suspension components.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in heavy truck systems.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• Class B or higher CDL is a plus but not required.
• Preferred CDL B

Responsibilities

• Maintain advanced knowledge and skill in chassis components and systems for on-site and on-road repairs.
• Repair and maintain chassis components.
• Repair refuse bodies including control, hydraulic and electrical systems; air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Repair engines and diagnostics.
• Complete understanding of diesel fuel systems and fuel system diagnostics.
• Work on suspension, drivetrain and steering systems.
• Diagnostics of electrical issues with scan tools.
• Line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
• Identify the source of malfunctions using electronic tools.
• Complete applicable Company training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.
