Job summary

Mycustomstaffing seeks a Maintenance Technician B to inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, including diesel and non-diesel assets. The role covers chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC, brakes, and more.

Qualifications

• Technical ability to diagnose multi-system malfunctions.
• 3–5 years hands-on gasoline/diesel equipment diagnosis and repair, or recent graduate from automotive/technical college.
• Experience with Class 1–5 light/medium-duty and Class 7–8 heavy-duty vehicles (aircraft/marine ok).
• Understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain chassis components, light engines, suspension, drivetrains, steering, and HVAC systems.
• Service complex refuse bodies with hydraulic/electrical/control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on air and hydraulic brakes.
• Perform line maintenance welding and basic fabrication.
• Provide emergency roadside service to return assets to operation.
• Use advanced electronic diagnostic tools to identify and resolve malfunctions.
• Complete all required training programs and follow safety protocols.
