Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician C to perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, under supervision. You’ll work on a single fleet with state-of-the-art equipment, supporting drivers as they run their routes and service advanced vehicles.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and ongoing training to grow your skills. Requirements include basic knowledge of vehicle systems, 1–3 years of experience, and a valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of a vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience on trucks or heavy equipment.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical/electrical systems for preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Perform oil changes, fluid replenishment, tire changes and light repairs.
• Conduct visual inspections to identify issues and sources of malfunctions.
• Complete required company training and perform other duties as assigned.
