Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to provide timely, quality, and cost-effective repair and maintenance for tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year maintenance experience or related certificate, ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred, and the ability to lift up to 110 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year vehicle maintenance experience or related certificate/Apprentice Program.
• One or more medium/heavy truck ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Knowledge of testing equipment, gauges, and diagnostic tools.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance programs and diagnostics.
• Able to lift components weighing up to 110 pounds.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
• Paint and body work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Perform basic diagnostics to identify issues and adjust equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Work with other technicians on preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure proper and accurate documentation of maintenance in writing and electronically.
• Perform safety inspections and document the work.
• Paint and body work on vehicles as required.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
