Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician in Massachusetts to perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics on tractors, trailers, and related equipment. You will work with a team to ensure safe operation and accurate documentation.

The role offers an hourly pay range, possible ASE-related bonuses, and tuition reimbursement options. A CDL and ASE certifications are preferred but not always required, with multiple training and tool-support benefits available.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; relevant vocational training preferred.
• One year of vehicle maintenance experience or completion of FedEx Freight Apprentice Program or a related certificate.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with diagnostic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Conduct basic diagnostics and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Collaborate with other technicians on preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Document all maintenance work accurately in writing and electronically.
• Perform safety inspections and document findings.
