Job summary

Republic Services in Stillwater, OK is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking and HVAC systems. You will work under supervision on a single fleet with modern equipment and play a key role in keeping routes on track.

This role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and on-call road service, with opportunities for training and professional growth within a large waste-management company.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships.
• ASE Certification (T1-T8) is a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• 3-5 years of technician experience in gasoline/diesel maintenance or graduation from automotive college/technical school within 3 months.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and braking systems repair (control, hydraulic, electrical).
• Light engine repair and maintenance.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems work.
• Heating and air conditioning service.
• Line welding and fabrication.
• Road service to return equipment to operation safely.
• Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools.
• Complete applicable company training programs.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
