Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose multi-system issues and perform repairs across chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical, brakes, HVAC and engine systems. You may also do basic tire work and provide on-road service to keep our fleet running.

The role requires experience or training in heavy-duty equipment, a valid driver’s license, and ASE/T1-T8 certifications are a plus. Join our team and support our drivers daily.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
• Perform basic inspections under limited supervision.
• Experience with gasoline/diesel vehicles or graduate from auto tech program.
• Driver's license and optional ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain chassis components and refuse bodies.
• Service hydraulic/electrical systems and air brakes.
• Perform engine, suspension, drive train and HVAC work.
• Provide on-road service to return equipment to operation.

Skills

Diagnose multi-system issues

Heavy truck knowledge

ASE certifications (T1-T8)

CDL is a plus
