Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Earth City, MO is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to schedule preventative maintenance, coordinate outside repairs, and manage the shop work plan.

You will develop daily and weekly workforce plans, communicate maintenance updates and billing concerns to customers, ensure parts availability, and hold vendors to schedule.

This role requires strong customer service, hands-on mechanical experience, and the ability to travel as needed to support operations.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• At least 1 year of hands on mechanical experience required.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelors Degree preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Prior experience with service scheduling programs and diagnostic programs preferred.
• Must understand and comply with Penske policies, DOT/OSHA and safety guidelines.
• Willingness to travel and pass background/drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans by considering customer needs, repairs, parts, skills, and hours to maximize service and productivity.
• Communicate with customers about maintenance updates, schedule changes, or billing concerns.
• Assure Penske Rental units are maintained and prepared for customers.
• Ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• Hold outside vendors accountable for quality and schedule.
• Provide excellent customer service to foster return business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as necessary.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
